We can recover data from the following: Hard Drives, Media Cards, USB memory sticks, IPOD's and mobile phones and SIM cards.

Hard drive

STANDARD HARD DRIVE RECOVERY

Typical Cost £90.00 standard data recovery for up to 4.7gb recovered data.

Recovery of up to 4.7Gb of data from a hard drive (internal or external) - Wherever possible, please remove the drive from the computer before sending it to us - Please call us if you need help with this and we will put you in touch with a computer shop in your area.

Our equipment, used for forensic discovery of data, scans every sector of the hard drive looking for signatures of common files such as jpegs and Word documents.

In addition, we can carry out an intensive text search, which may recover text that is no longer associated with a file. This can be very useful if a document has been deleted from the computer hard drive.

In the event that the hard drive is not recognised by the computer, we can arrange for the drive to be rebuilt using components from an identical 'donor' drive, which may allow the drive to function enough to recover data from it. See our 'Hard Drive Repair' service for more details.

we will provide an exact quotation, in advance, if drive repair or a donor drive is required. We will not proceed with any such procedures without your permission.

Please see the submission form for more details

Price includes VAT and is correct from August 2007

USB memory stick

USB Memory Stick

USB memory sticks, sometimes known as 'Thumb Drives', are one of the most common forms of media sent to us for recovery.

The truth of the matter is that these memory sticks are cheap and volatile. Do not rely on them for long term storage of documents etc. - they are intended as short term storage to transfer documents.

Earlier this year, we were sent a battered, water damaged memory stick from a school teacher, which contained four years worth of work on her dissertation for her Masters degree. We were surprised that the USB stick had functioned that long. Just two days before her dissertation had to be presented, the stick failed, and was sent to us.

Fortunately, we managed to find the fault, and got the stick working just long enough to retrieve the data.

Please don't let this happen to you - we would prefer it if you never needed to send one of these sticks to us, but if you do, rest assured that we will do whatever we can to find your data.

Our data recovery process may invalidate the warranty - if this is a concern, please advise us in advance.
